A DECADE OF
THE DEAD RABBIT

TRADITION MEET TOMORROW

10 years in…

A DECADE BEHIND US, A CENTURY AHEAD.

To mark A Decade of The Dead Rabbit we’ve scheduled ten days of celebrations, including live Irish music, comedy nights, Irish Whiskey tasting experiences, Guinness sessions and a very special Parlor takeover with Dublin’s Bar 1661. The festivities will run from February 3rd - 12th, and it’s not all about us - this is our tribute to a vibrant, modern Ireland, and all those who make it so.

Tradition, meet Tomorrow. Let’s have a party.

TEN DAYS TO CELEBRATE TEN YEARS

  • FEB 3RD - DAY 1 - LIVE MUSIC - AILBHE REDDY

On Friday February 3rd we’ll be joined by Irish musician Ailbhe Reddy in partnership with Roe & Co. Irish Whiskey.

An emerging artist who finds strength in sensitivity and embraces the full power of a moment, Ailbhe has a talent for crafting alt-folk tunes that are both intensely moving and toe-tappingly contagious - you’ll be singing along in no time. Dust off your dancing shoes and join us in the Taproom Extension to kick off our tenth year, from 8pm - 9pm

  • FEB 4TH - DAY 2 - COMEDY - SHANE TODD & KATIE BOYLE

Why did the Rabbit cross the road? Because it saw a great hopportunity.

On Saturday February 4th we’re hosting our first-ever comedy night and fortunately for you, we’re not in charge of the jokes. Irish comedian Shane Todd will take the reins with support from Kildare’s Katie Boyle for an intimate gig on our third floor. Tickets include Irish Coffees or a Punch, in partnership with Tullamore D.E.W. We promise, they’ll be funnier than us.

  • FEB 5TH - DAY 3 - LIVE MUSIC - LUNASA

Every Sunday we’re joined by Irish band Lunasa for a live trad session in Henry’s Corner.

It’s a Dead Rabbit tradition and often, it’s the highlight of our week. So how do we make it better? On Sunday February 5th we’re hosting a double session. Yep, 8 hours of live music. So whether you’re joining us for an Irish Breakfast, a Sunday Roast, a pint of plain or all three, you’ll have the best soundtrack this side of the Atlantic.

  • FEB 6TH - DAY 4 - STORIES & SIPS IRISH WHISKEY TASTING

Our Director of Irish Whiskey, Mark McLaughlin, has been hard at work organizing a once-in-a-lifetime Spirits of Ireland event with Stories & Sips Whiskey Club founder Barry Chandler.

Join us for a tasting of six ultra-exclusive whiskeys (three of which are aged for between 25 - 30 years) led by Mark, Barry, and very special guest, Midleton’s Micro Distillery Head Distiller Eva O’Doherty. Alongside the tasting, tickets include bar snacks, cocktails, a book to take home and a limited edition tote bag.

  • FEB 7TH - DAY 5 - SPIRITS OF IRELAND X BAR 1661

In an exclusive Spirits of Ireland experience, our Director of Irish Whiskey, Mark McLaughlin, and Dead Rabbit founder, Jack McGarry, will be joined by Dave Mulligan of Ireland’s Bar 1661 for an exploration of the very best new and exciting Irish spirits.

Alongside the tasting we’ll be discussing how to champion our favorite independent producers in innovative ways, respecting our Irish heritage while also looking ahead to the future. Tickets include bar snacks, cocktails, a book to take home and a limited edition tote bag.

  • FEB 7TH - DAY 5 - BAR 1661 PARLOR TAKEOVER

Voted Ireland’s Bar of The Year 2022, the team from Dublin’s Bar 1661 will be taking over the Parlor.

From February 7th - 10th you can enjoy a menu of their signature award-winning cocktails and yes, that includes their famous Belfast Coffee. This is Bar 1661’s first-ever US pop-up and it’s one you won’t want to miss.

  • FEB 8TH - DAY 6 - LIVE MUSIC - SOAK

Critically acclaimed Derry songwriter SOAK released their debut LP in 2015 to critical acclaim.

One of the Mercury Prize's youngest-ever nominees, they’ve earned praise from The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, NME and more. And they’ve won the Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, the Northern Irish Music Prize, and the European Border Breaker Award - yep, we’re impressed, too. For one night only, in partnership with our friends at Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey enjoy one of Ireland’s most talented and exciting emerging artists in the world’s most-awarded pub.

  • FEB 10TH - DAY 8 - MASTERCLASS - GUINNESS SESSIONS

On Friday February 10th we’re hosting two Guinness sessions in the Occasional Room featuring everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the black stuff - and more.

Guests will enjoy a masterclass from our very own Aidan Bowie and the Guinness team, Irish Coffees, Black Velvets, paired bar snacks, and a $100 bar tab for the best pint. Think you’ve got what it takes to be crowned the Guinness Master? We believe in you.

  • FEB 11TH - DAY 9 - TDR TURNS TEN - INVITE ONLY

This is our tribute to a vibrant, modern Ireland, and all those who make it so. Because the Emerald Isle doesn't just deserve to be on a global stage. It is a global stage. And of that, we’re mighty proud.

    RSVPs are essential.

  • FEB 12TH - DAY 10 - LIVE MUSIC - FOY VANCE

And finally, the 10th day of our ten-year anniversary celebrations will feature live music from Dani Larkin (2pm) and acclaimed Irish songwriter Foy Vance (3pm) with evening sessions courtesy of Dead Rabbit stalwarts Lunasa (6pm), in partnership with Bushmills Irish Whiskey. In short, it’ll be good old-fashioned Irish knees up, and you’re invited. Well, you only turn ten once.
